Bambui Natural Resources Inventory

Within the Bambui Fondom there has never been a study of the existing natural resources, nor a strategy defining their sustainable use and how to deal with possible climate change effects. It is thus very urgent and relevant to conduct thorough research on the identification of the existing water resources, forest and wildlife within the area. Such study would certainly provide information for the community in terms of possible alternatives solutions for energy generation.

Objective: To elaborate a global strategic plan taking in consideration data recovered from identifying the available water catchments, spring Catchments, watersheds and virgin forests; identifying alternative green energy solutions; from identifying BAWA’s water systems, storage, distribution and filtration system; from measuring the caudal of each stream and spring by season and all the watershed protected areas; and from analysing the water quantity and quality in the natural resources and in the BAWA main distribution system.
