The Agro-Forestry & Wildlife Committee of the Bambui Village Council is responsible for monitoring the natural resources in the Village like water, farming systems and forest and make proposals to the Village authorities for the proper management and usage of these resources.
After a series of reports about illegal sawing of plants in the Bambui watershed, encroachment in potential spring areas and stream bongs during the land preparation period it was important for the committee to have a complete report in order to be able to make proposals for the way forward.
The first step is the identification of the Natural Resources that this committee has to look after. To guide and also back up the Agro-Forestry committee is important to work towards the UN goals. This will allow the Bambui Village Council to recognise the principles of integration of sustainable development and integrate them into its policies and programs whilst reversing the loss of environmental resources.
